About The Role

As a web developer at Kindred you will be a part of the CMS team which today consists of 10 team members. This team is responsible for the content management system that is used to publish and update content across our different brands sites and applications.

You will be developing and improving the Kindred web and mobile sites, driving delivery all the way from idea to production. In your role you are creative, enjoy responsibility and thrive in a fast paced environment where technology and continuous delivery is key. In return, we offer you a fun, agile working environment, great colleagues and a lot more. As a graduate of the accelerate program your main tasks will be Front end development, Web development and Web designing for different projects. You will work closely in the team with support from a senior mentor with exciting projects while continuously improving existing products and keeping up with the latest technologies.

The accelerate program will start in September 2019 and is located in Stockholm. During the program you are going to work as a consultant through Studentwork. Kindreds ambition is to hire every consultant after the 6 months program, if both parts are satisfied with the collaboration.

Your Profile

Curious and always trying to learn new tricks, at the moment you are studying Computer Science, Development or another similar education within IT and you will graduate in spring 2019. We are looking for passion and drive! If you consider yourself a coding Ninja, maybe your friends complain that you spend you much time in the computer lab or when people ask what languages you know you list Python, Java and Binary at the top of the list. You will feel right at home here. We are not all geeky about the same thing, but we all have passions for what we do.

To succeed in this role, you are eager to learn and have a drive that keeps you going even when faced with challenges. You are a "glass half full" kind of person, you collaborate with others to get things done and you are a great communicator.

Some things are dear to our hearts and we hope you love the following stuff as much we do:

  • Excellent Java skills
  • Experience in working with large-scale multi-lingual web sites

We love good projects. We are sure you have done some really cool stuff that you want to show us!

Joining Kindred you will be one of 1500 individuals uniting from more than 50 countries, even though we love a good Swenglish or Spanglish we have all agreed to use English in our daily work and expect you to do the same.

The Accelerate Program

Joining the Kindred graduate program means working on exciting and challenging projects with cutting edge technology and starting to build a network from day one.

From the very start of your first six months of the program you will work directly in your team with support from your mentor, as well as on exciting projects with your fellow graduates. You'll take part in several tailored learning modules designed to help you develop your skills, grow as a person, and build strong relationships. As a group of graduates, we'll ensure you work together, to share experiences and challenges from your journey in a safe and secure environment. This experience will prepare you well for a bright future within Kindred Group.

The Boot Camp

We will kick start with a two-week Boot Camp designed to accelerate your start at Kindred.

Week 1: Focus will be on getting you settled in at Kindred and learn about our culture and our core values. What are they and why are they important to us and to you. You will also get to know your fellow graduates and the colleagues that will support you on your journey.
Week 2: During the second week we will focus on the business. How do we achieve success? What is success? What are the different parts of the company and what do they do? How do we work within Tech? Our products, learning by playing.

The 6 months Program

During the remaining time you will mainly be working in your team towards becoming a fully contributing team-member. You will be doing On the Job Training by gradually doing more and more complex tasks related to the team responsibility. You will do this in close collaboration with and supported by your mentor.

We will also set aside time every week for training/workshops/knowledge sharing with the Graduate team. Examples of activities are;

  • Self-leadership
  • Team membership/Group dynamics
  • Presentations skills
  • Site visits to London and Malta
  • Graduate team project
  • Arrange social event
