Question 1. Do I have to be a student to apply for a job?
No, we are specialised in students, newly graduates and younger talents, however, not exclusively. Many of our assignments are intended for people who are not studying or have already been working for several years. Our sister business Sharper also helps highly experienced and often senior employees to executive and specialist position.
Question 2. What is the difference between recruitment and temporary staffing?
In temporary staffing you would be employed by StudentWork, but work at our customer. StudentWork would be your legal employer and responsible for salaries, insurances and all other employer obligations. In a recruitment assignment you would sign an employment agreement directly with the customer. We would naturally assist you through the process and make sure you get a good start. Many of our temporary staffing assignments actually end with the customer recruiting the employee permanently.
Question 3. How do I get a job through StudentWork?
Start by registering your CV in our database. You will get job openings according to your qualifications and requests. It is of course up to you to decide which openings you would like to apply to. Follow us on Twitter and visit or homepage for vacancies on a regular basis to increase your possibilities to get a job.
Question 4. Do you only have part-time and short-term jobs?
No, many of our assignments are permanent full-time employments.
Question 5. Do the staffing industry offer secure employments?
Yes, StudentWork is an authorised member of the trade organisations in both Finland and Sweden. Our membership is a guarantee for compliance with national and federation's bylaws, code of conduct and good market practise. In fact, many of our terms and conditions go beyond what law and collective bargaining agreements state.
Our goal is to increase a positive movement on the job market and try to help as many as possible to get a chance to kick-start their careers. Surveys actually show that young people and immigrants have a greater possibility of getting their career started through employment at a staffing company.
